I have a recipe to make these outstanding buns. They are so yummy and don't have all the preservatives of store bought! I thought I would share it with you.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 (.25 ounce) envelope active dry yeast
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a microwave safe bowl bring the milk, water, butter, sugar and salt to a boil. Remove from microwave and let sit until lukewarm. (If the mixture is too hot it will kill the yeast) Pour liquid ingredients into your bread maker and add flour. Level off inside bread pan and add yeast on top. Set your bread maker to the dough setting. After machine has beeped remove dough and divide into 8-10 equal portions. (depending on how large you want your buns) On a lightly floured surface shape dough into round balls and set on a greased cookie sheet to rise in a warm place. After about 20 minutes (or when they have doubled in size) bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
You should definately give this a try. They sure beat store bought buns by a long run! Let me know what you think.
